SCORES of people visited a charity car wash in Nuneaton on Saturday with their filthy cars.
The saucy car wash was held at the Camp pub in Camp Hill Road, Nuneaton, to help raise money for disabled teenager Paige Bailey.
Paige, aged 13, was born with cerebral palsy which affects her co-ordination and balance.
She often needs to use a wheelchair but now a miracle operation in America can change all that.
Leila Wallis, Paige’s sister-in-law organised the car wash because she thought it would be a fun way to raise money.
More than 50 cars popped in to get their bonnets cleaned as 12 scantily clad ladies in hot pants and vests gave them a good scrub.
Leila, aged 30 of Old Arley, said: “The car wash was really busy which was brilliant.
“Because Paige is family and I see her day in day out, and see how she struggles, I just want to help her.
“I want a better life for her.”
Leila is hoping to have raised more £300 with the event.
Paige, from Stockingford, Nuneaton is travelling to America for the operation in April next year.
The £50,000 op at St Louis Children’s Hospital in Missouri is not available on the NHS in Britain but has a 100 per cent success rate. to help Paige walk again.
