A New York City schoolteacher was arrested in Bethpage on Friday morning after an alleged sexual incident that occurred in Lynbrook back in March.
Tara Driscoll, 33, of Bay Shore, apparently drove a male student under the age of 17 to the Capri Motel at 5 Freer Street in Lynbrook, according to Nassau County detectives. While at the motel Driscoll allegedly engaged in sexual relations with the victim.
The incident occurred on March 19, 2011, police said. The defendant surrendered to detectives around 9 a.m. Friday morning and is being charged with rape in the third degree and criminal sexual act in the third degree.

Tara Driscoll is the latest teacher to be arrested for having sex with an underage student and charged with rape. According to police Tara Driscoll who taught at Campus Magnet high school in Queens New York had sex with the student who was under seventeen when the sexual act occurred and when the teen’s mother found out she called police. Tara Driscoll turned herself into authorities and was charged with rape and criminal sexual act. The New York City School Board has reassigned Tara Driscoll but chances are she is about to be fired very quickly. The alleged act between Tara Driscoll and the teen took place at the Capri Motel in Lynbrook.
