A New York City schoolteacher was arrested in Bethpage on Friday morning after an alleged sexual incident that occurred in Lynbrook back in March.
Tara Driscoll, 33, of Bay Shore, apparently drove a male student under the age of 17 to the Capri Motel at 5 Freer Street in Lynbrook, according to Nassau County detectives. While at the motel Driscoll allegedly engaged in sexual relations with the victim.
The incident occurred on March 19, 2011, police said. The defendant surrendered to detectives around 9 a.m. Friday morning and is being charged with rape in the third degree and criminal sexual act in the third degree.

Tara Driscoll turned herself into authorities and was charged with rape and criminal sexual act. The New York City School Board has reassigned Tara Driscoll but chances are she is about to be fired very quickly. The alleged act between Tara Driscoll and the teen took place at the Capri Motel in Lynbrook.
