MALE STUDENTS FLOCKING TO FLORIDA AS TEACHER SEX CASES BECOMES EPIDEMIC
June 1 2009
Jacksonville, FL – The libido of the teenage male has often led lives in awkward and unexpected directions. With hormones rushing and maturity lacking more than a few get themselves into trouble during their teen years. It is in those heady days though that many teens define their sexuality. Those who are promiscuous tend to stay thatway; those who are cloistered tend to do the same. As awkward as those years can be there is one constant for most; Sex feels good and most want as much of it as they can.
It only makes sense then that young male teens have begun flocking to Florida high schools. As case after case of female teachers sleeping with their students begin to appear throughout the state, education officials are now having to deal with a massive influx of students, primarily male, looking to get a spot in their schools. Young men have been flocking to the state in unheard of numbers, overwhelming administrators and leaving schools overburdened.
“The rise in sex cases throughout Florida has really come as a surprise for many. These types of cases occur throughout the country and the world but for whatever reason Florida has become an epicentre for this behaviour. Naturally that’s going to provoke a lot of interest from young men,” said Scrape TV Education analyst Ken Ridley. “Of course as more students begin to
crowd into the same number of classrooms the odds of getting lucky are going to decrease significantly but it’s a bit like playing the slots. When one machine is paying out over and over again you have to try your luck even if logically you know the odds are against you. For many young men playing the odds is all they have going for them.”
State wide enrolment increased 5% in the first half of 2009 but is expected to grow another 15% for the upcoming 2009-2010 year. Florida officials are currently working on a plan to deal with the increased demand.
“Space is a major issue. We simply do not have enough classrooms to accommodate this influx of students at this point so we may be struggling with that for a little while.
The teacher issue is going to be a little easier to solve. We’ve made a concerted effort to reduce the requirements in order to become a teacher and so that should help with staffing issues, especially in south Florida,” said a spokesperson for the Florida school board. “Obviously we are going to give preference to female teachers. Our studies have shown that the majority of sex cases that have shown growth have involved female teachers and male students. We haven’t seen a significant increase in enrolment from female students. I’m sure that’s not a libido thing, probably just a result of it being a whole lot easier for girls to have sex than it is boys. We feel that we will be ready for the new students though.”
School officials are also struggling with exposure issues. Sex cases between students and teachers are often heavily prosecuted but such cases also bring free advertising for the opportunities in the state.
“Schools make money through attendance. The more students they have and the more often they show up the more money that individual school earns. I can think of no better way to get students to show up for class than with the promise, or at least temptation, of sex. Get the right teachers in place and Florida schools will be raking in the cash,” continued Ridley. “In the long term you may have issues to deal with such as emotional trauma but this is Florida after all and so the amount of damage will be hard to measure. It could also help set a whole new generation for success. After all these young damaged men will likely have a few daughters between them and that will help start the cycle again. If Florida officials play this right they could potentially be making money unlike anyone thought possible through schooling in Florida.”
Florida officials made no comment on the training or measurements required to become a teacher in the state.
