Girl with a birdnest in her hair

I had an amazing evening at the Get The Lead Out II show hosted by Swoon gallery; I'm so excited to say my two big pieces sold! Yippee!! : D The smaller framed originals are still available, though, for a steal at $35 each!

Anyway, I got to meet one of the other talented artists in the show, Liese Chavez. I loved her piece with a woman with a birds nest in her hair, so this is sort of my drawing inspired by her piece : D

Confused fowl

We have a whole bunch of peacocks up at my stable, and there were two males that were QUITE intent on showing off their plumage to a few distressed looking chickens. (They clearly had no interest, and were very confused why the male peacocks were trying desperately to impress them). The rooster, however, was completely unconcerned.

Trapeze girl & Goddess with hawk

Trapeze Girl

I always mix up Minerva and Diana- I love the motif of a bird (owl, but in this case, hawk,) but i am also in love with that crescent moon thing on her head. For those keeping count, Athena loves war & owls, Diana loves hunting and moons.

(I have to go out of town to take care of some family business, so there may not be any updates for the next few days...)
