Lawyer objects to busty woman's boobs 'putting him off' in court 

American lawyers are renowned for their hard-nosed courtroom approach - but attorney Thomas Gooch showed himself to have a more delicate temperament by objecting to a busty woman's boobs in court.

The Chicago brief made a direct complaint to Cook County Circuit Judge Anita Rivkin-Carothers, saying the woman sitting next to opposing lawyer Dmitry Feofanov was serving no purpose other than 'drawing the attention of the jury away from the relevant proceedings'.

Mr Feofanov stands by his argument that the woman - identified in court documents as Daniella Atencia - is his paralegal.

In a pretrial motion, he claims Mr Gooch has shown no 'good faith legal argument' why she should not be present during the trial.

Mr Gooch, though, says his argument is not based on the fact she is buxom, but because he does not believe she is professionally qualified, responded: 'Personally, I like large breasts.

'However, I object to somebody I don't think is a qualified paralegal sitting at the counsel table - when there's already two lawyers there - dressed in such a fashion as to call attention to herself.'

The case, which is due to go to trial on June 2nd, is a small claims case relating to a dispute over a used car.

The row over the presence of Ms Atencia, who Mr Gooch has asked the judge to send to the public gallery because he believes his opponent is conducting 'a sham', continues to rumble on.

AMOS Showtime

I saw over on my friend Eliza's blog that she had done this amazing piece for a group show being organized by the German musician, Amos, and dropped them an email asking if they were still looking for artists.

I was -just- under the deadline- they shipped me a blank album cover, and I got to create a design for it! I sent it off today; a day late, but then again, I just got the cover on Saturday!

It was a pretty fun project- the album covers will tour around different galleries across Europe and be available for sale in person and online.

I'll definitely post more details once they receive it and post it on their site! : D
