Akhilandeshvari, or The Always Broken Goddess

So, a few weeks ago, I came across this VERY excellent read on Akhilandeshvari, or "she who is never not broken."  It was just very inspiring, and I found myself relating to many different aspects.

From the article:

"Akhilanda derives her power from being broken: in flux, pulling herself apart, living in different, constant selves at the same time, from never becoming a whole that has limitations."

Anyway, the kick-ass thing is that she rides a crocodile as well. I was agonizing over how to color this; I really wanted to make her skin tone blue, but I'm not sure if that's ... "correct" for this hindu diety? Is blue something reserved specifically for Krishna, or does it specify god/goddess?  Outside of this article, I couldn't find much about this specific deity (much to my chagrin)

I'd love to hear your thoughts on how to color her, dear blog readers! (And please, def check out the article; so worth the read!)

Rosie Huntington-Whitely Titties!

Well, it really is turning out to be a month of Rosie Huntington-Whitely, with countdown to Transformers 3 at T-minute 13 days, the supermodel took innocently to the streets of New York City in a skimpy yoga top (once again, bless you, physical and spiritual ancient discipline of India) which almost slid right off her braless frame for ever so close to a full-on boobslip, but leaving us with a delightful nipple poke on one of this planet's hottest celebrities. Not such a bad thing. Perhaps it's our good ogling karma, or just a delightful accident, either way, I'm taking it. And, I'm watching. Enjoy.

Carnival For Adults

A Secret, Boxed-Up Bazaar Of Fantastical Things - A Carnival For Adults..........from current.com

In a desolate, industrial section of West Oakland, Calif., the first of 20 box trucks arrives before sundown. A couple of cargo trailers are parked on a street that is home to an abandoned cement factory.

When this Lost Horizon Night Market is in full swing, a bunch of sideshows and art environments will comprise what is essentially an open party for adults in a public place. Attorney Michael Burstein is the self-described cat-herder-in-chief for the San Francisco Night Markets.

"We're probably in violation of a variety of parking ordinances," he says."I'm sure some of the attendants will show up and have open containers, which is illegal in San Francisco and Oakland. And I'm sure there will be a variety of minor infractions."

Burstein is right about the open containers. Many in the crowd of 700 swig from bottles of wine or small chrome flasks. Invitations to these Night Markets are spread by word of mouth, and people are asked not to publicize them on mailing lists, blogs or via social networking channels.

At the market, people wander from one box truck to another parked along the dark city block. The Best Little Boxtruck in West Oakland has swinging saloon doors, a bar that serves sarsaparilla and several bales of hay to cushion the fall off a mechanical bull with a bunny head on it.

The entertainment at this inner city carnival is a bit unusual. For those who enjoy destroying breakable objects, for example, there's the smash truck.

Inside this small box truck is a woman with a cigarette clenched between her lips. She wears a welder's mask and thick suede welder's gloves as she smashes a computer and a plastic rocking horse to bits. There's a Plexiglas panel protecting onlookers from debris as the woman wails away with her hammer.

There's something for everyone at the Lost Horizon Night Market. If you don't want to vent aggression, you can hang out at a cozy campfire inside a truck with a hole in the roof. There, David Marti — a mechanical engineer at Stanford and a member of an art group known as the Department of Spontaneous Combustion — presides over a fire pit improvised from a wash tub.

"Does anybody want a sausage?" he shouts. "Well, what else do you do with a campfire?"

Box Truck Culture

The installation artists who participate in the Lost Horizon Night Market rent their box trucks for $150 for the day and deck them out with outlandish props that transform the trucks into vehicles of fantasy.

Inside one there's a speakeasy where Catie McGee strums a ukulele and her sidekick Absynthia pours a potent, green fermented beverage. McGee wears a corset, fishnet stockings and a black feather boa as she leads the crowd in a bawdy singalong.

"He ain't too smart but he gets things done," she belts. "He's a long-tongued, double-jointed son-of-a-gun. He's read the Kama Sutra 26 times and he wears my panties on Tuesday nights."

Barak Obama and Egyptian Muslims Future

Well i do not see any future of Egypt now. What it seemed to be a peaceful country now seems like a dead one and soon a vanished one. We all muslims will always face such problems as we are not united. Barak Obama the president of USA wants Mubarak to fulfill his promise towards his nation. Well he is trying is level best and also Egypt aint that bad in Economy at the moment. But now i am sure its worse.

Egyptian muslims future is now at stake. I do not know about the others nations and races living there but muslims will surely suffer.

Like muslims in pakistan are suffering. Recently the killing of muslims(Pakistani) by American nationalists. If this was done in America i am sure that person would have been called a terrorist. Well UN exists then why still is'nt there peace.

Barak Obama needs to apply some good foreign policies for the muslim world. We all want peace but to have peace we need to stand united. And this can only happen if the powerful nations of the world like usa, china, uk, germany unite and help other third world countries.

Egyptian history is tortured now because of the riots taking place. The government is falling down. And as usual the muslim countries are doing nothing.

Hoax - Attack on Earth in Feb 2011

There are predictions that in the month of february 2011 aliens will attack the earth. Well well well. My questions is to nasa, usa, uk , china and many other super power nations scientists and physicists that if this is the case then they should have attacked us a long time back. i mean they are so superior than us. more advance than us. i am sure we live in stone age if compared to them. then why they have to wait.

i guess its a big hoax like many other things. like y2k bug was a hoax as nothing happened to computers. so i am sure this attack thing is also a hoax.

Nothing is going to happen. Just chill.
